- Some genealogies have his death as "Iowa City, Wright Co., IA," which does not exist. It's possible he died in Iowa Township, which does exist in Wright Co., but this is some distance from his home in Richland, Jackson Co., IA. It is more likely that he may have died in Iowa City, Johnson Co., IA, a place much closer to his home and a more likely place he might have visited.
