Arthur Jameson was Deputy County Treasurer for Monroe County, New York. He, Lucile and the children resided at 93 Jefferson Street in Rochester, New York.
In the late 1920’s Arthur and Lucile acquired a “country” home at 84 Palmer Road in Riga, New York. The house was named “Thiseldo”, an appellation that stuck when Lucile referred to it as “this-will-do” when originally looking at the place. This was a summer home for many years. Eventually they sold their Rochester home to their son Daniel, Arthur maintaining a ‘weekday’ room there until he retired. After retirement “Thiseldo” became the Jameson’s permanant home.
