- Came to America in 1746 aboard the "sloop Molly" at the same time as wife and his mother in law, Elizabeth (Jameson) Woods and her brother Hugh Jameson.
- Lived on land in Londonderry (now Derry) Rockingham Co., NH, that had once belonged to Jonathan Jameson. Mr. Parkinson purchased this land in 1746, from John Jameson, who had inherited this land from his uncle Jonathan, at the time of his death in 1741.
